External evaluation support for the “Clusters of Excellence” Programme of the Austrian Science Fund

ESF-SC supported the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) in the two-phase evaluation of the proposals submitted under the “Clusters of Excellence” programme, a pillar research initiative of FWF fostering and enabling interdisciplinarity collaboration and synergies amongst leading Austrian research institutions.  Over 180 expert review reports by international reviewers for both selection phases were provided to FWF. External evaluation support for the “Interdisciplinarity” Programme of the
Aix-Marseille University  (France)

ESF-SC supported A*Midex Foundation, the bearer of the IDEX (The Initiative of Excellence) of the largest multidisciplinary French-speaking university in France: Aix-Marseille University (AMU) in the evaluation of the "Interdisciplinarity” call for scientific projects intended to recognize and encourage innovative interdisciplinary approaches to address current and future societal challenges and lead interdisciplinary communities.  ESF-SC implemented the two-phase assessment of over research projects, involving over 100 international expert reviewers. The results of the selection process are available here
 

19 Review Panels evaluated 600+ research projects for the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia

For the third year, from June to December 2022, ESF-SC has supported the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia (SRNSFG) in the evaluation process of the following funding schemes: “Research Grants for Young Scientists”, “Applied Research State Grants” and “Fundamental Research State Grants”.  ESF-SC implemented the scientific assessment of 600+ research proposals and set up 19 disciplinary review panels involving over 150 international experts.   
 

External evaluation & Review Panel for “ADAGIO” MSCA COFUND post-doctoral fellowship programme (Spain/France)

ESF-SC supported the selection process for ADAGIO, a programme jointly managed by the University of the Basque Country (Spain) and the University of Bordeaux (France) to fund innovative research projects in Advanced Manufacturing in the Basque Country and the New Aquitaine French regions. The review process involved peer review of submitted applications followed by a Review Panel assessment and interviews with candidates. The results of the selection process are available here



 

5,000+ Expert reviewers evaluated FWO research proposals and fellowship applications 

As part of the long-term partnership with Research Foundation Flanders (FWO), throughout 2022, ESF-SC supported FWO in the selection processes of several funding schemes, including Fundamental Research Projects, Postdoctoral Fellowships and their Odysseus programme, evaluating more than 2,500 applications across all research domains, involving over 5,000 international expert reviewers.
