Gender Equality Plan

ESF-Science Connect is reinforcing its commitment to an inclusive, diverse, and innovative culture in Research and Innovation through the development and implementation of a Gender Equality Plan (GEP).

ESF’s GEP ambitiously covers all the Building Blocks and Recommended Areas brought forth by the European Commission in the frame of Horizon Europe, but it is also going a step further by integrating an intersectional approach, in line with its far-reaching ambition to keep its important position in strengthening European research and ensure a continuous development of the state-of-the-art of gender equality in Europe and beyond.

To implement its GEP, ESF has dedicated resources and a Gender Equality Working Group. Data will be collected every year, translated into a report, shared with the executive board, which will include gender-disaggregated data and KPIs for each of the actions planned.

The ESF GEP is available to all employees via its Intranet. Click here to read a summary of the document.
