EuroGIGA Minisympoisa at CSASC, 25-28 Septmeber 2011

Two minisymposia were coorganised by the EuroGIGA scientists during 25-28 September 2011 at the Joint Mathematical Conference of the Austrian Mathematical Society at the Donau-Universitat Krems, together with the Catalan, Czech, Slovak and Slovenian Mathematical Societies - CSASC 2011:

  • "Algebraic and topological graph theory", Organizers: Roman Nedela (Banska Bystrica), Tomasz Pisanksi (Ljubljana)
  • "Combinatorics and Graph Theory", Organizers: Michael Drmota (Vienna), Jan Kratochvil (Prague), Marc Noy (Barcelona), Oriol Serra (Barcelona)

EuroGIGA kick-off, 12 & 14 June 2011, Paris

The networking period of EuroGIGA programme was officially launched during 12 and 14 June 2011 in Paris. The kick-off was marked by a special EuroGIGA session as a satellite to the 27th Annual Symposium on Computational Geometry (SoCG 2011) on June 12. The Scientific Committee of EuroGIGA, which is responsible for the coordination of the EuroGENESIS programme, was established in the first Scientific Committee meeting on June 14. Prof. Günter Rote was elected as the chair of the Scientific Committee. It was decided to organise the first programme-wide EuroGIGA conference during 16-20 July 2012 in Prague.
