Grants
These grants and fellowships are open to researchers based in Europe. They are meant for a stay from one European country to another. One contributing country should be involved.
Short Exchange Visits: NO DEADLINE
These exchange visits are for a one-week period, with an amount of up to 1000 EURO per week. Requests for support for short exchange visits should be sent by e-mail to Professor Fred Van Oystaeyen Email with copy to Chantal Durant Ms. Chantal Durant Email
There is no application form. Requests should contain:
- the name and affiliation of the scientist travelling and the research group to be visited;
- the reason for the visit (justifying its length);
- provisional dates for the visit.
The total cost awarded will be reimbursed after the visit. A short scientific report on the visit will be requested after termination of the visit.
Long Exchange Visits:
duration: about 1 month

Fellowships:
Procedure for Long-Term Fellowships:
an application should include:
- Short CV;
- List of publications;
- one-page description of the envisaged research project;
- Statement on current status/employment;
- letter of invitation from the hosting institution;
- 2 letters of recommendation.
The fellowship supports a stay of 3 to 12 months. A round-trip ticket for travel between the home and host institution will be reimbursed. (travel will be refunded on the basis of APEX type airfares or 2nd class train travel for shorter distances).
Grantees will be expected to provide a written report at the end of their grant. 75% of the grant allowance will be payable one month in advance; the remaining 25% will be paid one month after the termination of the grant, subject to receipt of the grantee’s written scientific report.
