ESF Consortium for Ocean Drilling (ECOD)

More about the Programme

ECOD is a co-operative venture, whereby twelve European nations have joined together to form a partnership to support exploration of the deep-sea floor in a global context within the framework of the Ocean Drilling Programme (ODP). The present agreement remains in force until 30 September 2003. Members of ECOD are scientific organisations from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. They contribute to the 2003 coordination budget and to the 2003 Ocean Drilling Programme (ODP) membership fee, amounting to 2.95 million US$.
