Katrina Gibbs

Katrina is a dynamic communications specialist passionate about the role of international cooperation in fostering a more equitable society.
As Communications Officer for the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA), she is responsible for raising internal stakeholder awareness and implementing effective communication materials to facilitate greater connectivity within the Coalition.
She has extensive experience working with international media organisations, managing multi-platform campaigns in both the public and private sectors, and conducting ethical research with an emphasis on qualitative analysis. Her previous experience includes working as a communications specialist at CNN International and the Secretariat on the Convention for Biological Diversity. She has also taken on roles as a research analyst, journalist, and graphic designer.
Katrina holds a MSc in Media and Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from McGill University.
