Claire Rustat-Flinton

Claire Rustat-Flinton is Peer Review Mission Coordinator at Science Connect. Claire brings a strategic focus and excellent implementation skills to all of the projects and programmes that she works on, offering particular attention to customer care and a keen ability to solve problems.

As Administrative Coordinator from 2013 - 2015, she played a key role in the coordination of several significant European research projects. These include peer review missions and research programme evaluations with the University of Naples and the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. She was Administrative Coordinator of the Train to Move (T2M) mobility fellowship programme for postdoctoral researchers - operated by University of Turin and supported by the European Commission (FP7) and banking foundation Compagnia di San Paolo. In addition Claire has supported the AXA Research Fund Post-Doctoral Fellowship Scheme across all requirements from calls and assessments to communications, budgets and reviews.

She has also been Coordinator of the EUROCORES scheme and of the ESF Standing Committee / Scientific Review Group for the Humanities.

This extensive and valuable experience, coupled with Claire’s organisational skills and personal qualities, makes her an important member of the science management team.

Claire obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Warwick in 1993.  Fluent in both languages, she started on her career path as a teacher of French and English in the UK. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, walking and cycling. She has travelled extensively in Europe and Asia.
