Julija Baginskaite

Julija Baginskaite is a Junior Science Officer with ESF Science Connect.

Julija designs tools to promote and improve scientific strategy at European level (MERIL-2 project), putting her previous experience to use in this key data science role.

Before joining the ESF, Julija contributed to a number of important neuroscience research projects. She carried out research assistantship at Institute de Biologie de l’École Normale Supérieure, Paris (France) and the Institute of Ophthalmology at University College London (UK); prior to this, gaining valuable experience at research laboratories in the UK and Lithuania.

Julija received an MSc (Dual Masters) in Brain and Mind Sciences from University College London (UK) and École Normale Supérieure in partnership with Université Pierre et Marie Curie Paris (France), and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Edinburgh (UK). 

Julija’s interests include machine learning, big data, evidence-based policy making, science com-munication, and computational neuroscience. In her spare time Julija enjoys tutoring students in natural sciences.
