Ana Carolina Selvati

Dr. Ana Carolina Selvati is a Junior Science Officer with ESF Science Connect. To this role, she brings her international scientific experience.

Ana Carolina works on the Work Package 18 of the Graphene Flagship, contributing to foster the international collaborations as well as the alignment and coordination with national, EU programs, Partnering Projects and Associated Members within the Flagship. She also works on the Work Package 3 of the SCOPE Coordination and Support Action on the strategic dialogue and engagement for foresting partnering environment for the Graphene Flagship.

Before joining the ESF, Ana Carolina contributed to a number of Materials Science research projects in different laboratories in Brazil and France. She has also experience in the techniques of Large Scale Facilities such as synchrotrons and nuclear reactors, advanced knowledge in the science of carbon-based materials and is an expert in elastic and inelastic neutron scattering techniques.

Ana Carolina holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Montpellier (France), a double Master's Degree in Materials Science within the frame of the Erasmus Mundus program, from the University of Rennes (France) and the University of Turin (Italy) and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Brasilia (Brazil).

Ana Carolina is very communicative, with an enthusiastic personality, and speaks fluently Brazilian Portuguese, English, French and Italian.
