In liaison with the France's National strategy for Sustainable Development, highlighting the need for imporving actions to prevent pollutions and manage energy, ADEME aims to reinforce its expertise and be the point of reference and the obvious partner for the general public, companies and local authorities.

CEREGE is a Mixed Unit between CNRS and the University Paul Cézanne (UMR 6635) whose mission is the development of research and teaching in the field of the géosciences of the Profil environment of the Center: it is composed of researchers, Head-researchers, doctorate students, engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.

The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (National Center for Scientific Research) is a government-funded research organization, under the administrative authority of France's Ministry of Research. Founded in 1939 by governmental decree, CNRS mainly aims to evaluate and carry out all research capable of advancing knowledge and bringing social, cultural, and economic benefits for society.

ECCOREV is a cooperative research structure studying "continental ecosystems and environmental risks", particularly as applied to Mediterranean areas. Created on January 1, 2008, ECCOREV is a group of laboratories, with complementary expertise and resources, that contribute to the development of an interdisciplinary approach to the environment. Thus it will be able to meet calls for tender on complex issues: global warming, regional vulnerability, biodiversity of ecosystems, remediation of contaminated sites, the impact of changes in the industrial fabric, tourism, agricultures, etc.

GREQAM (for "Groupement de Recherche en Economie Quantitative d’Aix Marseille") is a research center in economics located in Aix en Provence and Marseille in Southern France. GREQAM counts more than 50 permanent members, who teach and do research in different universities in Provence. After Paris and Toulouse, the region of Aix and Marseille has the third largest concentration of economists in France.
