Policy Statements and Responses to EC Consultations

European marine sciences and policies are developing and changing rapidly. This calls for continues alertness from the Marine Board to the growing number of initiatives and policy developments, and the flexibility and ability to engage in targeted interactions in response. In where case time is limited, but a response from the Marine Board is appropriate (e.g. cases of development of new policies and tools and / or open consultations), the Marine Board Secretariat takes the initiative to engage with the Executive Committee, Member Organisations and key European experts on an ad hoc and short-term basis to develop short statements and responses to policy developments (e.g. European Commission Green Papers, and Consultations).
