The Marine Board Panels address continuous marine science and technology operational issues in the areas where the panel members, and by extension their institutions, would benefit from interacting with each others, e.g. networking and exchange of best practices.
The Marine Board Panels are composed of experienced professionals representing specific technical and operational areas. The Panels are considered on a long term basis. Continuous information exchange between the Marine Board and its Panels is undertaken to provide a forum for its members and a pool of expertise and information source for reference and interaction with the Marine Board.
The Scientific Diving Panel (established in 2008) aims at networking and exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of scientific diving, and promoting it as a research and management tool.
The Marine Board Communications Panel (established in 2002) is operating as a collaborative network of marine communicators across Europe. The main aim of the Network is to mutually assist its members in promoting and communicating marine science across Europe and exchanging ideas on events, communications methods and best practice.
