The Marine Board Secretariat represented the Marine Board in the Consortium (together with six other partners) of an FP6 funded Specific Support Action addressing the modernisation and sustainability of fisheries policies, now completed. FEUFAR (Future of European Fisheries and Aquaculture Research) aimed to undertake a foresight analysis to identify key challenges and options towards a more sustainable development of European fisheries and aquaculture industries.
Final FEUFAR Workshop took place on 17 and 18 June 2008 in Heraklion, Crete. This workshop focused on translating future scenarios for development of the fisheries and aquaculture sector into research needs.
