Marine Board Forum

1st Marine Board Forum

15 May 2008 Ostend, Belgium

Marine Data Challenges:

from Observation to Information

Through its Forum, the Marine Board is willing to foster updates and interactions among the marine science community. Representatives from marine- and maritime-related groups and networks as well as Marine Board sister organisations will get together around a common theme.

The 1st Marine Board Forum will focus on data management issues. Given the on-going debate about the creation of the European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODNET) and its links to various initiatives, such as ESONET, EMSO, MerSEA, ECOOP, Euro-ARGO, EuroSITES, SeaDataNet, SPICOSA, etc; this topic is very timely.
