EurOCEAN 2007 – the European Commission’s EurOCEAN 2007 conference was held on 22 June 2007 in Aberdeen.  This event focused on the marine science aspects in support of the development of the European Maritime Policy, and resulted in the Aberdeen Declaration, an evolution from the Galway 2004 Declaration. The Aberdeen Declaration synthesises the voice of European marine scientists and express their priorities in the context of the development of the European Maritime Policy. The Marine Board coordinated the Programme Committee, chaired by Lars Horn.
