Professor Liselotte Højgaard (MD., DMSc.)

Chair of the European Medical Research Councils (EMRC)

Chair of the Standing Committee for the European Medical Research Councils (EMRC) since September 2006, member of The Danish Political Research Council, Professor Liselotte Højgaard is the Head of the Department of Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine & PET and Cyclotron Unit, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark.
She is also Professor in Medical Technology at the University of Copenhagen with clinical responsibility for the education as Civil Engineer in Medicine and Technology, University of Copenhagen and DTU, Technical University of Denmark.

Professor Liselotte Højgaard has a background in clinical medicine and research in gastroenterology and basic electrophysiology, and is at present involved in R&D in PET scanning for oncology and pediatrics.
