Marine research projects database

MarinERA aims to enhance the coordination of national and regional marine RTD programmes in Europe. 

Since November 2004, the Marine Board is the project manager of the MarinERA project (coordinator: Ifremer), with 14 Funding Organisations from 13 countries, funded by the EU FP6 ERA-NET scheme.

The MarinERA Call for proposals Regional Drivers of Ecosystem Change – the measurement, modelling and prediction of ecosystem change

4.6M will be directly granted to five colloborative research projects across seven countries. Press release here

The Call focused  on changes in marine ecosystems and functional biodiversity in relation to global change and other anthropogenic impacts.

MarinERA Projects Database

A new pilot on-line searchable marine research projects database has been launched by the MarinERA project. The database contains details of over 900 current marine research projects being funded by MarinERA partners. The database provides a unique source of material for marine scientists and policy-makers to access data on current marine research projects, identify potential research partners and nodes of specialist expertise.
