A career at the ESF
At the European Science Foundation we strive to achieve scientific excellence on a European level. It is therefore essential for us to employ high-calibre and talented people to be part of our diverse and multi-national team.
We always seek experienced individuals capable of delivering a wide range of value-adding services to our member organisations, while helping them to confront the critical science issues of the day head on.
ESF is a strong international network of 75 research funding, performing organisations and academics and it strives to take on a leadership role in globalising science. ESF aims to develop its unique role in setting science agenda for Europe in a constantly changing European Research Area.
We offer a number of opportunities, scientific and non-scientific.
Our main office, in the centre of the Strasbourg city where the European Parliament and the European Council are also located, provides an ideal working environment. But Strasbourg is much more than a government seat; it is a university city, as well as a prosperous intersection of German and French cultures, histories, gastronomy and architecture. But our presence doesn’t just end there. The ESF Research Conferences Unit and the European Co-operation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research (COST) offices in Brussels are situated among the headquarters of the main European decision-making bodies such as the European Commission and Council of the European Union. This summer, the ESF-Marine Board will move from its current location in Strasbourg to the site of the Flanders Marine Institute in Ostend in Belgium.
Be part of a European organisation where you can work with some of the biggest and most prestigious establishments in the science scene, to help set the science agenda for Europe.
