Peer Review: Its present and future state. An international conference on peer review, Prague 12 to 13 October 2006

On 12 and 13 October 2006, the Czech Science Foundation, the EuroHORCs and ESF organized an international conference on „Peer Review – its Present and Future State“. More than 150 delegates from European institutions as well as institutions from the United States, China , Japan and South Korea, attended the conference, which was hosted by the Czech Science Foundation in Prague.

The conference analyzed contemporary trends in the evaluation of research and examined how the peer review process is understood and performed, and considered its future modifications in response to the requirements of research in the 21st century.
