Environment and Health (ENHE)

Summary

The impact on human health of various kinds of pollution and contamination has caused steadily growing concern over recent years and been the focus of increased national research efforts, but there remains a pressing need for more coordinated research on a European and worldwide scale. Through this programme the ESF, in conjunction with the World Health Organisation and the European Commission, has developed a coherent European R&TD plan which was presented to ministers at the most recent  IGC conference in London in June 1999. more
