Mediterranean Climate Variability and Predictability (MedCLIVAR)

Call for proposals for MedClivar Science Meetings in 2009

MedCLIVAR has assigned a total 30Keuros for the organisation of workshops/conferences that will take place in 2009 and are relevant to the Mediterranean climate and MedCLIVAR objectives (see external MedClivar web page). Priority will be given to workshops/conferences that focus on the socio-economic impacts of past, present or future climate variability, change and trends in the Mediterranean basin. Applicants are requested to check ESF criteria before submitting a proposal. Moreover, this call is meant to favour cooperation and integration with other initiatives, therefore proposals including co-sponsorship are particularly welcome.

Depending on the submitted applications, the total 30Keuros assigned to this call can be distributed among different proposals.

Initiatives considered in the call are mainly small workshops and special events within existing conferences and meetings. Costs may include both travel and accommodation support for participants and organization costs.
