Tensions of Europe: technology and the making of twentieth century Europe

Summary

While there are many economic, social, cultural and political histories of Europe, they do not incorporate the role of technology in the making of Europe in an adequate fashion. Given the pivotal role technology has played, it is critical to fill this gap and to explore the role of technology in the making of contemporary Europe.
