Leipzig, 3-6 April 2004The first OMLL conference was held at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany. Twenty international Collaborative Research Projects representing ca. 200 scientists participating in the programme presented the latest results of their research. Presentations addressed the evolution of language and the diversity of languages from a variety of fields, such as genetics, linguistics, palaeo-anthropology, archaeology, neuroscience, computer science and psychology.
