European Collaborative Research Projects (ECRP)

In the News

  • The awarded ECRP III proposals can now be consulted here.
  • The 2008 ECRP Call for Proposals (ECRP IV) is now closed.  Applicants will receive an automatic acknowledgement of receipt and a provisional application number when finalising the submission of your proposal. The ESF will then get back to them with a definitive application number by 9 May 2008. The ESF, after the meeting of the ECRP Management Committee, will inform the applicants if ineligibility of Individual Projects (IPs) at the national level should result in a collaboration no longer being viable. The results of this eligibility check will be communicated by 16 June 2008. External peer review of the proposals will be organised from the end of June to the end of September 2008, after which the reviews will be communicated to the EFOs. Final decisions will be taken by the EFOs between November 2008 and February 2009. The ESF will get back to Project Leaders with funding decisions by March 2009. Project Leaders are expected to act as contact persons throughout this process and pass on all relevant information to their Principal Investigators and teams.
  • The following ECRP projects "06_ECRP_026 Political Communication Culture in Western Europe – A Comparative Study" and "05_ECRP_FP037 New migrations dynamics : regular and irregular work on the european labour market" have just published their CRP-specific brochures:

The EUROCORES Programme for European Collaborative Research Projects (ECRP) is a response to the continuing demand from the scientific community in the countries of the SCSS’s Member Organisations for funding to support responsive-mode, investigator-driven Collaborative Research Projects within all fields of social science in Europe. The ECRP Programme is designed to promote research of the highest quality, offering opportunities to test innovative ideas, pool expertise and strengthen research capacity in line with the objectives of the European Research Area.

Please note that the ECRP Scheme does not follow exactly the same format as other EUROCORES Programmes.

You may wish to consult the EUROCORES background information, but please ensure that you follow the specific Guidelines for Applicants for the ECRP 2008 Call for Proposals when completing the European Collaborative Research Project (ECRP)
