Call for Cross Collaborative Research Project Activities
Networking activities & Short Term Visits
Deadline Calls for Proposals: Monday 31 March 2008
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED
Information about the Calls for Proposals for activities in 2009 will become available in due time.
The CNCC programme encourages its researchers to engage in cross-project activities: activities that enhance the cooperation between the various CNCC Collaborative Research Projects (CRPs) and sustain the coherence of the programme.
CNCC Networking Activities
Project Leaders, Principal Investigators and Associated Partners are offered support for Networking Activities. These activities, involving at least two CRPs, typically include workshops, symposia, expert meetings, special CNCC sessions at larger conferences or at summer schools, etc. In addition, the CNCC programme welcomes ideas for other types of Networking Activities, including web-based or multi-media events.
Guidelines can be downloaded below. Note that only Project Leaders, Principal Investigators and Associated Partners of CNCC projects are eligible for these grants. Applications should be sent to the CNCC Programme Coordinator who will verify the eligibility. If eligible, the applicant will receive access to the online submission system to formally submit the proposal to the ESF database.
If you have an idea for a CNCC Networking initiative, it is advisable to contact the CNCC Programme Coordinator in an early stage for preliminary discussion.

CNCC Short-Term Visits
The CNCC Short-Term Visits offer CNCC projects the opportunity to collaborate. CNCC members may visit laboratories of other CRPs for a maximum period of 6 weeks to embark on a project that adds value to the CNCC programme. Preference is given to junior project members. Visits from CNCC members to projects within other EUROCORES Programmes are also possible.
Guidelines can be downloaded below. Note that only CNCC members are eligible for these grants.
If you are interested in applying for a CNCC Short-Term Visit, please contact the CNCC Programme Coordinator.

Cross-CRP attendance of intra-CRP CNCC Networking Activities
Networking and collaboration within EUROCORES Programmes takes place at two levels:
1. Intra-CRP activity: between the various Individual Projects (IPs) within a Collaborative Research Project (CRP) and
2. Cross-CRP activity: between the funded CRPs within the programme as a whole.
The cross-CRP activities are funded through contributions to the CNCC Programme, currently supported by funds from the EC 6th Framework Programme under Contract no. ERAS-CT-2003-980409.
The intra-CRP activities are supported through the research grants each participant receives from the participating funding agencies. In addition, the CNCC Scientific Committee has decided to support the cross-CRP attendance of these intra-CRP activities upon the conditions specified in the Guidelines. In brief, this provides each CRP with the opportunity to annually invite to their intra-CRP activities up to two members of each of the other CRPs (i.e., a total of maximally 8 members).
The guidelines can be downloaded below.
For further information, please feel free to contact the CNCC Programme Coordinator.
