The aims of the meeting are to review progress in genomics relevant to crop improvement and foster links between genomics, trait analysis, breeding systems and technology priority areas.

Areas for discussion will include:

Progress in genome analysis of the major crops
Genome dynamics, polyploidy and domestication
Population genomics and evolution
Marker assisted breeding and trait analysis
New approaches to genome sequencing, polymorphism detection and bioinformatics
Addressing technology priorities in food and renewable resource production, sustainable agriculture and the environment
