Call for Science Meetings and Grants: VOCBAS

Science Meetings in 2008

VOCBAS (Volatile Organic Compounds in the Biosphere-Atmosphere System) invites proposals from potential organisers of science meetings (workshops, schools, conferences) to be held in 2008 on topics related to the scientific objectives of the programme:

• VOCs and the chemical and physical properties of the atmosphere
• VOCs in biotic interactions
• VOCs in the plant-environment interaction
• VOC biosynthesis
• VOC modelling

Priority will be given to events taking place in countries that financially support the Programme: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

It is expected that the outcome of the evaluation process will be available by the end of January 2008.

Call for Grants

VOCBAS (Volatile Organic Compounds in the Biosphere-Atmosphere System) is offering funding for a number of

• Short Visit Grants  (up to 15 days) and
• Exchange Grants (15 days to 6 months)

related to the scientific objectives of the Programme:

• VOCs and the chemical and physical properties of the atmosphere
• VOCs in biotic interactions
• VOCs in the plant-environment interaction
• VOC biosynthesis
• VOC modelling
