Julien Weber, Personal Assistant to the Head of Medical Sciences talks about his work at the ESF

My role allows me to have a global understanding of all the activities run by the unit. This level of information is important as I am the liaison officer for the unit and need to synchronize with other units on some activities. What I really like about my position is that I never have two identical days in a row. I always have several projects running at the same time and never have time to get bored. I also get to interact with a lot of different departments and external organizations. On another level even if I am not directly involved on any project (as I am not a scientist myself) it is always interesting to know that you have been part of a project that influenced (or will influence) medical research in Europe
