    • IPCC - Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
      IPCC is scientific body set up by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and by the United Nation Environmental Programme. It provides decision-makers and other interested in climate change with an objective source of information on climate change. Althoug IPCC itself does not conduct any research, hundreds of scientists contribute to the work of the IPCC as authors and reviewers. In 2007, the IPCC was, together with Al Gore, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.


    • UNEP - United Nations Environment Programme - Climate Change Theme
      UNEP is an UN Agency providing leadership and encouraging partnership in the environment protection effort and in the environmental policy development. In  the field of climate change, UNEP works to support climate proofing efforts, improve understanding of climate change sciencen and raise public awareness about global warming.  


    • EEA - European Environmental Agency
      EEA is an agency of the European Union whose mission is to provide sound and independent information on the environment. The major clients of the EEA are EU institutions and 32 EEA's member countries.


    • IPY - International Polar Year 2007/2008
      IPY is a large scientific programme focused on the Arctic and the Antarctic from March 2007 to March 2009. It is organized through the International Council for Science (ICSU) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

      WMO is an United Nations agency specialized on the state and behaviour of the Earth's atmosphere and Earth's climate. It provides a framework for international cooperation and information exchange in the field of meteorology and climatology.
