• A 15 000 kilometres long travel leads to emmission of:

0.8 tonne carbon equivalent if travelling by small car outside the urban traffic.

2 tonnes carbon equivalent if travelling in an urban traffic by large car.

only 35 kg carbon equivalent if travelling by train.

• Each EU citizen is responsible for 11 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year, out of which close to 9 tonnes are emissions of CO₂.

• By 2020 it is projected that some 75-250 millions people in Africa will be exposed to increased water stress due to climate change.
