Role of organisation |
FOM is the Dutch physics research organisation. It has three main objectives: to carry out top research at its six institutes and through university research groups; to coordinate and stimulate research on a national level and finance and operate national research facilities; to provide the home-base for Dutch participants in international collaborations and/or act as the Dutch partner in such collaborations. The budget for 2002 was about 65 million €. FOM employs around 1 000 people. | |

Main responsibilities of information office |
Preparing annual reports, the internal "FOM expres" magazine, the "Newton News" newsletter, press releases, printed and audiovisual materials; advising management on internal relations and public affairs. The public information office is also in charge of FOM's website (see address below). | |
