Frontiers of Functional Genomics (FFG)

Call for Science Meetings

FFG invites proposals from potential organisers of science meetings (workshops, schools, conferences) to be held in end 2008 and 2009 on topics with a clear connection to the programme. These include functional genomics technologies, biomedicine (epigenomics, neurogenomics, metabolomics, pharmacogenomics, personalised medicine), bioinformatics, systems biology, environmental functional genomics, biotechnology, biobanking and impact on society.

Priority will be given to events taking place in countries that financially support the Programme: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom.

Application Procedure

All Science Meeting proposals should be submitted online through the following APPLICATION FORM [CLOSED]

Applicants are required to upload one document* containing the following information:

1) Scientific summary (max. 1000 words) and abstract (max. 50-70 words)
2) Details of venue
3) Draft meeting programme
4) Curriculum Vitae of the Scientific Organiser including list of five most relevant publications over the last five years
5) Provisional list of proposed speakers/participants
6) Budget breakdown with justification costs
