Workshops
Workshops organised within the framework of the AIGM Programme:
- The wider environmental implications of genetically modified plants, Cambridge, UK, 20 – 21 January 2000. This workshop examined the consequences for agriculture of the commercialisation of GM crops and the environmental impacts that may result.
- Environmental implications of genetically modified plants with insect resistance genes, Berne, Switzerland, 29-30 September 2000. This workshop examined the consequences for agriculture and the environment of transgenic insect protected crops and the future requirements for risk assessments and monitoring.
- Environmental implications of genetically modified plants with fungal disease resistance, Roskilde, Denmark, 10-11 November 2000. The workshop considered population biology of host-pathogen interactions in agro- and natural ecosystems as an approach to risk assessment and sustainable deployment of novel resistances.
- Environmental implications of gene flow from genetically modified sugarbeet to seabeet (Venice, Italy, 17-20 May 2001)
- Potential environmental impacts associated with virus-resistant transgenic plants, Versailles, France, 5-6 June 2001
- Interspecific gene flow from oilseed rape to weedy species (Rennes, France, 11-13 June 2001)
- Risk assessment methods for genetically modified plants - current trends and new developments (Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, 13-15 September 2001)
- Genetic Interactions
