Correlations In Computer Science

ESF Exploratory Workshop - PESC

Convened by: Ellie D'Hondt (BE)

Location: 5-8 August 2008, Brussels, Belgium

Keywords

programming language design; quantum information theory; biocomputing; aspect-oriented software development

Summary

The goal of the workshop is to establish the base requirements of a programming paradigm based on correlations in computer science. While the main inspiration for the workshop is quantum information theory, we draw from areas as diverse as biocomputing and aspect-oriented software development. All these areas would benefit from a clear methodology in how to program with correlations, as well as from a cross-fertilisation of results between disciplines.
