The EuroUnderstanding programme encourages its members to engage in cross-project activities: activities that enhance the cooperation between the three Collaborative Research Projects (CRPs) within the EuroUnderstanding programme and sustain the coherence of the programme. To this end, in 2012 the programme launched the following two Calls.
The EuroUnderstanding programme wishes to encourage a strong EuroUnderstanding presence at the next annual conference of the European Society for Psychology and Philosophy (ESPP2012), in London, UK, from 28-31 August 2012. The activity is at the point of being finalized. Interested programme members are referred to the following contacts:
CCCOM members: Asa Wikforss
DRUST members: Günther Knoblich
NormCon members: Frank Esken
This open Call – with a deadline of 16 January 2012 - invited proposals for cross-CRP activities – including Networking, Training and Dissemination Activities as well as Short-Term Visits. There is no possibility to apply for cross-CRP activities at this moment. At a later stage in the programme further calls are expected.
Project Leaders and Principal Investigators are offered support for Networking Activities. These activities, involving at least two CRPs, typically take the form of workshops, working group meetings, expert meetings, seminars, symposia, etc. The Networking grants also cover support for training activities like lectures at summer schools. In addition, the EuroUnderstanding programme welcomes ideas for other types of Networking Activities, including web-based or multi-media events.
Guidelines can be downloaded below. Note that only Project Leaders and Principal Investigators of EuroUnderstanding projects are eligible for these grants. Applications should be sent to the EuroUnderstanding office at eurounderstanding@esf.org. If accepted for funding, the applicant will receive access to the online submission system to formally submit the proposal to the ESF database.
If you are considering applying for a EuroUnderstanding networking grant, it is advisable to contact the EuroUnderstanding Programme Coordinator at an early stage for preliminary discussion.
