    • Mary Ann Osley, a pioneer in chromatin

    • Alain Verreault, who will talk about (de)acetylation of lysine 56 of histone H3
    • Mieke Van Lijsebettens who will present findings on histone monoubiquitylation-mediated cell cycle control during A. thaliani development
    • Francis Stewart, an Australian recombineering pioneer

  • EuroDYNA-QUASI meeting, 18-20 January 2007, Vienna, AT

The aim of this meeting, organised by Pavel Kovarik and David Shore, was to elaborate the potential of expertise/reagent/technology transfer between several EuroDYNA groups (from different CRPs) and the QUASI project team (a EU FP6-funded project). The rationale for this meeting was the idea to combine the systems biology experience of the QUASI team and the expertise of the EuroDYNA groups for the development of novel approaches to accomplish the EuroDYNA objectives

  • Topical Workshop "Biologists meet physicists", 27 September 2006, Brussels, BE

    Seven investigators - three EuroDYNA and four SONS experts - took part in this activity. ESF organised a one-day brainstorming meeting for investigators of two EUROCORES Programmes, EuroDYNA and SONS (Self-organised Nanostructures) interested in, and working at the interface of molecular biology and physics. With biology becoming increasingly multidisciplinary ESF works to facilitate cross-disciplinary exchange.

  

  • International Conference "Telomeres and Genome Stability"
    30 August - 3 September 2006, Villars-sur-Ollon, CH
    Co-organised by David Shore

    This meeting brought together experts in telomere biology with key players in the DNA damage response field for the only international meeting of its kind to be held in 2006. Five EuroDYNA members attended this meeting, one of whom presented a talk.



  • Summer School "DNA and Chromosomes: Physical and biological approaches" 19 June - 1 July 2006, Cargèse, Corsica, FR
    Co-organised by John Van Noort

    Two EuroDYNA investigators gave lectures and seven EuroDYNA students/postdocs attended the school. The Summer School aimed to integrate the various biological and physical approaches used to study DNA and chromosomes.
