Further information about the 3 EUROCORES programmes currently in the project selection phase can be found on the programme webpages:
What is a theme proposal?
In response to ESF’s annual call for EUROCORES theme proposals, “bottom-up ideas” are invited as the first step in the creation of new thematic and large scale European Collaborative Research Programmes in and across all scientific areas. Theme proposals are NOT large scale research proposals (such as Integrated Projects) but they are proposals for the creation of new Research Programmes dealing with complex and broad topics. For each of these Programmes an Open Call for proposals will be developed inviting proposals for Collaborative Research Projects.
When to submit a theme proposal?
The Call for EUROCORES themes, which is envisaged to be published annually, is currently closed. It is expected that the next call for themes will be launched around 1st March 2009.
The text of the 2008 call and supporting documents are still available for information purposes:
General Questions:
General queries about the call for themes can be addressed to the EUROCORES Scheme Office. If you have queries regarding a specific scientific domain, please address these to the Programme Coordinator in question.
