Towards Joint Action in Disease-Oriented Genomics and Related Sciences

Four European public R&D funding bodies* and the EU- Commission organised a funders meeting focusing on the establishment of Europe-wide collaboration in research funding for disease-oriented human genomics and related sciences. At this meeting, options for creating a durable network of funding organisations in the field, such as the initiation of a pilot joint call in the near future and the formation of an ERA-NET were discussed.

The meeting was held as a satellite to EuroBioForum 2008 on the premises of ESF in Strasbourg, in the afternoon prior to the opening reception of the Forum.
