ESF Symposia

It has become a tradition to hold an ESF Symposium on the afternoon prior to the European Science Foundation’s Assembly, which is normally held in Strasbourg at the end of November. The ESF Symposium often highlights the past year’s achievements in science, policy or research. Well-known speakers are invited to share their experiences and give presentations on relevant and varied themes that are of interest to the science community and policy makers alike. These ESF symposia normally last for half-a-day, taking place in the afternoon, and are followed by the Award of the Latsis Prize, which ESF coordinates for the Latsis Foundation.
