Road - How to reach us by car

Strasbourg is directly linked to Paris by the A4 motorway and the A34, A31 and A32 motorways allow direct access to Strasbourg from Amsterdam, Brussels, Luxembourg and Bonn, via Metz and Saarbrücken.

The Strasbourg-Mulhouse route joins it to the rest of the French motorway network.

Strasbourg is fifteen minutes from the Hamburg-Frankfurt-Basel-Genoa or Milan motorway, itself linked to the entire European motorway network.

To reach the ESF follow signs for Place de la Republique.

Our Offices

The ESF is a split-site, but it takes two minutes on foot to either of the buildings from the "Place de la République". First, take the little bridge over the river and walk to the crossroads - the ESF Marnésia building is the building to your left on the corner of the 'rue des Parchemins'.

The entry is on the quay-side and you will need to report to reception and sign in as a visitor.  To get to the ESF Parchemin building, you will need to turn right at the crossroads, cross the road and the entrance is through the blue/grey gate (building after the grocers).  At the moment, this gate is kept locked, so individual visitors may need to report to the Marnésia building reception first.

Local Transportation - The Tram

The tramway covers the whole town since Summer 2000. Trams run from 04h30 to 00h30, with one tram every four minutes at peak hours. The nearest station to the ESF is currently ‘Place de la République, at about 2 minutes walking distance from the Foundation (click here  for a circulation map of the tramway).
